Invoking the Spirit Hunt by David Ruben Piqtoukun

This past August, I met up with an interesting and friendly creature named "Invoking the Spirit Hunt" (above) while appreciating many fantastic carvings of Shamans, Sedna, people, and various animals at the Museum of Inuit Art in Toronto, Canada.  David Ruben Piqtoukun, the artist, is from Paulatuk, Northwest Territories, Canada, and used stone and caribou antler for this piece.  If statues could come to life, I feel that "Invoking the Spirit Hunt" would have a lot to contribute to the SSWC blog!

A&C Meet Frankenstein (and Dracula, Werewolf etc)

Best comedy / monster flick ever! Packed with classic appearances including Bella Lugosi as Dracula (of course), Glenn Strange as the Frankenstein Monster, the immortal Lon Chaney Jr as the Wolfman and a cameo with Vincent Price as the Invisible Man. A true classic.

I See You...

The Pale Man

The Pale Man is a monstrosity from Guillermo Del Toro's Oscar Award-Winning film Pan's Labyrinth. His diet consists entirely of children. Despite the odd anatomical positioning of his eyes, his vision is 20/20.

Check out the film's official website - the creatures in this movie make it worth seeing!
