Whatever would possess someone to do this?!? I am in shock and awe. I can't decide if I like the "Bagel Head" look because it reminds me of Star Trek: TNG, or I hate it because it seems ridiculously pointless... Either way, it's living art and I have to thank these folks for opening my mind and creating a debate. Interactive Virtual Anatomical Model
Check out this very neat video that demonstrates new technology developed at Gifu University (Japan)... The "interactive virtual anatomical model" allows researchers to study anatomy in 3D. This technology is especially useful for understanding complex physiological structures, such as cranial and facial nerves.
